THE HOME OF LUXURY PENS. Montblanc meisterstuck no149 vintage 1950′s celluloid silver rings model RARE. MONTBLANC MEISTERSTUCK 1950S NO149 FOUNTAIN PEN. A stunning and extremely rare highly sought after 1950s meisterstuck no149 fountain pen by montblanc. This is one of the early edition most sought after 1950s models and comes in excellent condition throughout. Fantastic condition for a pen of such age , the pen is of course used however there are only light traces of use , there are no breaks no cracks and no cap shrinkage , also no brassing to the gold trim , the silver rings are tight around the cap and most importantly the nib is in perfect condition a real gem to write with, the only small imperfection on this pen is the ink window stripes are no longer visible. These vintage 149s are made from black celluloid , at the top of the cap is the famous montblanc emblem and the cap has the two sterling silver bands either side of the central gold band that reads montblanc meisterstuck , indicating this model was for the German market. The cap screws on and off perfectly and the clip is gold plated under the clip are two xx. The piston moves perfectly through its full range and draws up ink as it should without any leaking. These 1950s models are fitted with telescopic piston to operate twist the filler knob reads 149 on the filler section. The nib on this pen is a real gem I believe it to be a F= fine in size and is made from 18C tri tone gold , the feed is ebonite ski slope feed nib and feed in immaculate contition. These nibs are why writers want a vintage 149 and this one is a true pleasure to write with super flexible so line varies easily from fine to BB depending on pressure applied. Overall a stunning vintage 1950s no149 fountain pen the most iconic pen around in fantastic condition and this one with what I can only describe as a dream nib.
